Ms. Christina
Dr. Christina Kennedy is a veteran educator and part-time professor of education at Georgia State University. She has been the Education Director at Hillside for over 15 years. She has extensive experience in helping teachers and students navigate education through experiential in-person learning as well as through virtual academic programs. She has more than two decades of teaching experience and has been a presenter at national conferences including the National Conference on Differentiated Instruction. She is married and has two elementary aged daughters.

Ms. Marisa

She recently graduated from Kennesaw with her Specialist Degree in Ed. Leadership. On the weekends, you might find Ms. Marisa volunteering around the city or eating at her favorite restaurant, Longhorns. Her favorite place to travel is Jamaica. Ms. Marisa likes to plan/organize trips and events in her free time. Ms. Marisa also loves to watch sports and is always cheering on her Atlanta Falcons!!

We are excited to have her back and want to you learn a little about her. Ms. Cameryn was born and raised in Atlanta. Her favorite place to travel is Chicago. On weekends, you might find Ms. Cameryn at the gym or at Mercedes-Benz Stadium cheering on the Falcons. Ms. Cameryn attended UGA and GA State and loves Language Arts. Ms. Cameryn is also a make-up artist and loves to snowboard.

Ms. Ali
Ms. Ali hails from Aiken, SC and earned her teaching degree from the University of South Carolina. She has worked with students in many capacities for over twenty years and as a public school teacher for fifteen. Ms. Ali is a novice but avid student of meditation and enjoys cooking vegan meals. She’s fond of European travel as well as just being a homebody with her books, husband, and dogs. She finds that outside is always best, especially if there is a nature trail or body of water nearby.
Ms. Ali is so excited to be part of the Hillside team!

Ms. Karen is our High School Math Teacher. Ms. Karen was born in Wisconsin. She loves to travel and her favorite places to travel are Spain & Portugal. On the weekends, you might find Ms. Karen on the Chattahoochee River paddle boarding. Ms. Karen loves to be outdoors and likes to hike and camp. Ms. Karen likes to watch baseball and cheers on the Braves, her favorite team. Ms. Karen’s favorite restaurant is Ippolitos. One thing you may not know about Ms. Karen is that she has traveled all around the world to place such as South America, Southeast Asia, Europe, Canada, South Africa, Mexico & the Caribbean.

He loves visiting the North Georgia Mountains on his time off. He also spends his time working on his Chevy Camaro. Mr. Andre played Running Back at Catawba College and had the opportunity to play pro-football in Germany. On the weekends, you may find Mr. Andre at a Car Show or eating his favorite food, Italian.

Mr. Mike
Mr. Mike joined the Hillside Team in August 2016 as the Middle School Math Teacher. He has 14 years of teaching experience and likes Math and Social Studies. Mr. Mike was born in Ohio and is an Ohio State Buckeyes fan. His favorite place to visit in Georgia is Lake Lanier. Mr. Mikes loves to golf and enjoys spending time with his family, especially when they vacation at Disney World. Mr. Mike’s favorite foods include pizza, steak and Doritos. Mr. Mike loves sports and likes watch basketball and baseball games in person. On weekends, you might find Mr. Mike watching his favorite Alaskan reality TV shows and spending time with his children.
Ms. Taylor
Ms. Taylor is from Annapolis, MD, but has also lived in Boulder, CO and San Diego, CA before moving to Atlanta! She has her Bachelor’s in psychology and minor in sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She played college lacrosse at CU Boulder and UMBC, and coaches in her spare time. She also loves spending time with her friends, exercising, and has a German shepherd named Jessie! Ms. Taylor is so excited to be a part of the Hillside team!

Ms. Holly was born in Charleston, West Virginia and grew up in a military family. Ms. Holly attended Georgia State University and graduated with a degree in Psychology. Ms. Holly loves to watch football and hockey. You can often find her cheering on her favorite team, The Steelers. Ms. Holly’s favorite color is cobalt blue and she collects blue glass. On the weekends, you might find Ms. Holly visiting the Atlanta Botanical Gardens with her family or eating at her favorite restaurant, Fogo de Chao. On weekends, Ms. Holly loves spending time with her daughters as well. Ms. Holly’s favorite books are any by Dr. Seuss. We hope you have enjoyed learning a little bit more about Ms. Holly!

Mr. MosesMr. Moses is part of Team Elementary, teaching Math and Social Studies. Before teaching at Hillside, Mr. Moses taught in Clayton County Schools. He is a proud graduate of Alabama State University (undergrad) and University of West Alabama (graduate). Mr. Moses loves to teach math and has over 8 years of teaching experience. In his free time, Ms. Moses loves to travel. Las Vegas is one of his favorite places to travel. On the weekends, you might find Mr. Moses at the movies or seeing a play at the Fox Theatre.
